My name is Chelsea Kennard and I am a Senior Graphic Designer, a mother of 4 beautiful children, wife, artist and sports enthusiast. I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and grew up near Flint, MI. I decided to come back to my hometown in 2011, due to the phenomenal pizza and wings and to finish my college degree at Buffalo State. In May of 2014, I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from Buffalo State College. After college, I started working as a prepress production artist at SoCorp, Inc. (Screen Printing Business) where I gained a lot of experience and knowledge along with learning how to work in an extremely fast-paced environment. Shortly after, I landed a job in the marketing department at Dynabrade, Inc. (Power Tool & Abrasives Manufacturing Company) as a senior graphic designer. My job is very versatile and I collaborate with a team to design promotional materials, packaging, print advertisements, posters, flyers, banners, displays and catalogs. I have many years of experience in the graphic design world and I have an endless eye for design. My favorite season is fall because I can’t get enough of the beautiful colors, leaves and smells, including EVERYTHING pumpkin.
I always have an iced coffee on hand and my ultimate drink is a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew from Starbucks. In my free time I enjoy working out, going to concerts, going on adventures with my family & walking my dog.
I have experience in Adobe Creative Suite, which includes: Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Bridge, After Effects, and knowledge in Quark XPress, Audition, Final Cut Pro, Unity, Blender, iAd and Autodesk Maya. I am proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. I have strong time management skills, can multi-task between multiple projects, communicate with various departments, and have creative problem-solving abilities. I specialize in illustrations, promotions, branding, packaging and logo design. My freelance work consists of web design assistance, data management, wedding invitations, t-shirt designs, concert posters and business logos.
